Hi, I am Lis. I understand that starting the therapeutic process can be stressful. But it doesn’t have to be. If you have been thinking about it for a while now, don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you from embarking on a journey to better understand yourself. The truth is that when we’re misaligned, overwhelmed, and overworked, we simply are not our best. There are a variety of techniques and strategies to help you achieve the goals that you want. My therapy approach focuses on whole-person healing, blending practical tools and cognitive behavioral techniques to help you reach your goals. It can all start with an introductory call or even a friendly email. Let me know what brings you to therapy, and you can ask me how I can be of service to you. If you have insurance questions, we can verify your benefits and inform you of any co-pays prior to the first session. Let’s chat. Educational Background I'm a bilingual therapist based in Florida with over ten years of experience. I help people navigate life and health adjustments, as well as manage feelings of depression and anxiety. I obtained my master's degree in clinical social work and trauma-informed care from Barry University. My clinical journey has taken me through various placements, including at Regis House, Inc. and the University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine. I am well-versed in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Parent-Child Attachment models, and I have a passion for working with individuals in diverse settings such as communities and hospitals. In addition to this, I specialize in supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental exceptionalities and hearing loss. To better serve special needs populations, I have completed the University of Miami's LEND program fellowship and the Emerging Transformational Leadership Program. These experiences have further enhanced my skills in community leadership and advocating for improved access to care for all individuals.
