Introduction

EMDR INTENSIVE RETREATS Are you feeling overwhelmed, easily triggered and having difficulty functioning in your daily life? Do you feel you need therapy but your schedule does not permit you to engage weekly? Or maybe you’ve already tried therapy and are feeling like something is still “not right” and are looking for a more profound experience. EMDR Intensive Retreats are specially designed to accelerate your healing and are more efficient than weekly sessions. These 3-day experiences are customized to fit your individual needs and will support you to find your way back to wholeness. Do you have a teen or child with emotional or behavioral problems? Do you want to feel happier, more passionate, more satisfied with your life and relationships? Are you having difficulty communicating your needs within your relationships or career? We offer Virtual counseling as well as in-office sessions. Often, life gets away from us before we realize how quickly things have changed. Life is a process of personal growth and evolution. It is also a process of building and maintaining relationships with people in a world that is constantly in flux. If you are looking to develop greater insight into these concerns, counseling is a great place to start. In my Individual Therapy and Family Therapy practice, I focus on partnering with you to explore challenges around interpersonal relationships, behavioral problems, sexual identity and behaviors, self-esteem, core beliefs/values, and many other aspects of life. In counseling, I also incorporate techniques from a variety of theoretical orientations, placing an emphasis on collaboration and client-identified goals. I explore with clients how emotional and psychological obstacles from the past and in the present interfere with attaining goals and optimal day-to-day functioning. Each program is individualized Every client has a custom-tailored multidisciplinary treatment plan designed by specialists who are the best in their respective fields. My innate curiosity, desire to help, and love for people, allow me to create a healing environment for my clients and provide them with results. As the poet Khalil Gibran said, "To get to the dawn of a new day, you must first pass through the darkness of a night." It is actually during these times of great hardship that individuals find great rewards. I am a Tennessee-based psychotherapist with more than fifteen years of experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have extensive training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and psychodynamic modalities and specialize in treating trauma (PTSD; abuse). I use a flexible, eclectic, and highly individualized approach to my work. With a relatable and "real" style, I assist patients in identifying areas of concern, deepening self-awareness, developing and achieving realistic goals for their treatment. REVIEWS Written by P.H. on Sep 29, 2021 after therapy with Lisa for 3 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, family conflicts, grief, anger management, and coping with life changes Lisa is very attentive and thoughtful in handling me as a character and the issues around me. She's trying to observe from different angles to figure out the most challenging things I am dealing with that I am probably not entirely aware of. I got helpful tips from Lisa to improve the way I respond to things beyond my control. Thank you, Lisa, for guiding me to think better, act wiser, and know how to set boundaries.
