NARRATIVE THERAPY A Narrative Therapist separates the person from the problem by listening for detrimental beliefs & recurrent themes in the story of one's life. This collaborative approach affirmed one's virtues & employs their strengths to repair their relationship with a problem. Lisa’s approach to therapy combines Evidenced-Based therapies with Narrative Techniques. BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION Lisa Gaumond, LMHC, PhD is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Doctoral Degree in Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara CA (2017). Lisa was also awarded a Master’s degree from Fielding’s department of Psychology (2010). She holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University (2004) and a certification in Mediation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2006). Post Graduate training includes EMDR (2024) With EMDR Institute faculty, Judy Cabeceiras; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as part of Lifespan/Gateway’s Enhanced Outpatient Services team (2016-2019). Additional studies were taken with The Institute of Narrative Psychology, Salem MA (2012, 2015).
