Introduction

Hi, I’m Lisa Duran, LCSW, and I’m so glad you’re here. From the very beginning of my career, I’ve been drawn to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges, find their inner strength, and create meaningful change. With a background in both clinical social work and elementary education, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic process—one that combines compassion, expertise, and a deep understanding of personal and family dynamics. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, and families as they face a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, parenting struggles, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I specialize in parent coaching, family consultation, and child and adolescent therapy, offering tailored support that empowers individuals and strengthens family connections. I also have extensive experience supporting executive functioning skills, helping clients develop strategies for organization, focus, and time management. Additionally, I work collaboratively with schools to ensure proper services and supports are in place, bridging the gap between home, school, and therapeutic care. At the Duran Counseling & Wellness Center, my mission is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, discover new perspectives, and develop the tools you need to thrive. Whether you’re looking to manage stress, improve relationships, or gain clarity and confidence in your life, I’m here to help you take that next step toward becoming the best version of yourself. The journey toward growth and healing isn’t always easy, but with the right support, it can be transformative. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you uncover your strengths, embrace your potential, and create the life you deserve.
