Lisa recognizes that reaching out for help can be a humbling yet powerful moment. She is grateful to be considered as your therapist and assist you with reaching goals and improving your daily life. Working with Lisa, you can expect a welcoming and accepting energy, a balance between a structured and free-flowing environment, creativity, direct feedback while working through the challenges you may be facing, and hopefully some laughs to add some lightness to the heaviness. Lisa’s previous career allowed her to gain 15 years of experience working with adolescents and young adults who have faced mental health struggles including anxiety, depression, and trauma. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients identify and reframe problematic experiences and uses creativity and resources to enhance sessions. She will incorporate mindfulness techniques, identify unhelpful thoughts and patterns in behavior, sort through various emotions, and provide strategies that allow you to challenge your maladaptive thoughts and beliefs. She has completed Gottman Level 2 training to assist couples in nurturing their relationship and discover more effective ways to communicate with their partner. As a former Division I student-athlete, Lisa has an understanding of the pressure to excel and meet high-performance expectations while maintaining composure when going through a mixture of emotions and struggling to find your own identity. Lisa would be honored to support you through any transitions, uncover your most authentic self, and help you become the guide of your own life.
