Welcome! I’m Lisa Cody, a dedicated therapist with a passion for supporting individuals on their journeys toward healing and growth. Specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, and anxiety, I have worked in the mental health field since 2017, providing care to adolescents, teenagers, and adults in both outpatient and higher levels of care. I also have experience working with clients struggling with OCD & complex anxiety. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Governors State University, along with dual undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Psychology, and Sociology from Northern Illinois University. My diverse educational background allows me to approach therapy from multiple perspectives, ensuring that my clients receive comprehensive and compassionate care. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to tailor my approach to the unique needs of each client. My goal as a therapist is to assist you in achieving your personal goals, while meeting you where you are, and helping you lead a fulfilling life. In addition to individual therapy, I offer group therapy services focused on eating disorder recovery, body image, and anxiety, fostering a supportive community for clients to connect and grow together. Outside of my practice, I love spending time outdoors, hanging out with my dog and two cats, and exploring a variety of podcasts. I believe that self-care is essential in the therapeutic process, and I encourage my clients to embrace activities that bring them joy and fulfillment. I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey to wellness. Let’s connect and start working towards your goals today!
