I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Dakota. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work through Minot State University and my master’s degree in social work through the University of North Dakota. I have experience supporting people with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, thought disorders, personality disorders, and other mental health concerns. I have training and several years of experience in treating co-occurring substance use and severe mental illness as well as experience as a clinician on a First-Episode Psychosis (FEP) treatment team. Among other modalities, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp). I have additional training in treatment of personality disorders and survivors of narcissistic and psychopathic abuse. I adapt my treatment style to each client’s individual needs. The part of being a therapist I enjoy the most is the privilege of getting to know the little things about a client- the fun and funny parts, the little bit wild parts, the successes, and the hard things altogether. I enjoy building strong relationships with my clients and creating a safe and comfortable space for them. I value the uniqueness of each individual and strive to meet clients where they are at with a down-to-earth approach. I also genuinely appreciate a good laugh and humor in sessions! In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, family, and numerous pets. Some of my hobbies include taking care of my jungle of plants, listening to music, riding my bike, and crafting.
