When you're ready to talk, I'm here to listen. Talking about what's going on and identifying the ways you react to these challenges can be tremendously helpful in empowering you to tap into your personal strength. Feeling better about yourself is possible and this is one of the many ways I can help. I can assist you in identifying unhealthy thought patterns and change them into healthier ones in order to promote better mood, energy and improve relationships. I follow a theory of Cognitive Therapy or CBT. The basic premise of this theory is that our emotions and behaviors are influenced by our thoughts and how we react to the things that happen to us. Positive results can be gained when thoughts are changed and/or modified. Identifying distorted thought patterns and changing those to a healthier mindset will have a positive impact on your mental health. Some techniques I use are changing thought patterns through reframing and/or thought replacement, changing and improving your internal dialogue and shifting from a focus on lack to a focus on affirmatives. I also use gratitude in my interventions. This powerful tool can be instrumental in changing thought and behavioral patterns from negative to positive with strong reinforcement.
