Liria is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who is committed to assisting clients achieve their goals, facilitate healing, and work through the difficult challenges that often happen throughout life. Liria's approach in therapy is fundamentally client-centered and includes evidence-based interventions, utilizing her certification in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Liria's work is informed by an understanding of Interpersonal Neurobiology (D. Siegel), and Attachment Theory (Bowlby & Ainsworth) which describes the interplay and effects of life experience on childhood development. As a play therapist, her intent is to work with caregivers and parents to achieve the optimal therapeutic result. Pax House Counseling & Play Therapy offers an engaging, therapeutic playroom, a sand tray/expressive arts space and separate counseling area. Teletherapy is available as well.
