Lindsey Miller is the owner of Empower You Counseling, LLC. Lindsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Higher Sights Counseling. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Business from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). During her undergraduate studies she competed for the NCAA swim team, was co-president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and coached a local competitive club swimming team. She continued her education at Colorado Christian University where she received a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has a variety of experience working with all ages from young children to adults, and specializes in helping individuals overcome struggles with life transitions, fear, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and grief and loss. She specializes in nervous system recovery, and desires to help clients get out of fight or flight mode into a restful and safe space to heal their body and mind. Lindsey is also passionate about helping athletes with their unique mental health challenges. Lindsey utilizes a strengths-based approach to counseling along with a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Christian Counseling, and Mindfulness Therapy. Lindsey is passionate about empowering her clients, and desires for each to find a greater sense of self-worth, purpose, hope, and healing through their therapeutic journey. She promotes holistic wellness, and wants to help her clients obtain optimal mental, emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual health. Lindsey provides an encouraging, warm, accepting environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, experience, and goals. Outside of counseling you can find Lindsey swimming, hiking, country swing-dancing, painting, trying out a new restaurant, and ideally doing all of the former with people. She loves God, her family and friends, the beach, dogs, laughter, and pancakes.
