My passion is providing therapy for women who are learning how to love themselves. More specifically, we’re a good fit if you’re a person trying to manage it all; stress, relationships, health, school/work, while also trying to figure out where you fit into this world. You likely find yourself struggling in your relationship with food, body image, and/or self-worth, and are interested in improving your relationships, communication skills, and overall outlook on life. My ideal client is someone who is exhausted both physically and mentally from trying to prove themselves, and likely experience feelings that they are never enough. A person who experiences guilt for taking up space and struggles to ask for help due to fear of being a burden, but knows that they want to feel differently. A person who experiences so much stress and anxiety, and never talks about it, until it begins to show up in other ways. Someone who is ready and willing to make changes to figure out how they can better show up for themselves, and their loved ones. While the majority of my clinical work focuses on disordered eating, body image concerns, and trauma, I am also passionate about supporting college aged and young adult women as they navigate through stress, anxiety, relationship dynamics, perfectionism, family of origin issues, chronic health/pain challenges, and life transitions. I create safety and build rapport by showing up as my authentic self, utilizing relational, and relatable approaches to therapy with a dash of humor when appropriate to help my clients feel more comfortable in sharing their stories. My approach is brain and body focused, implemented in a warm, yet direct manner. I foster open lines of communication and welcome feedback from clients throughout our work together. You are the expert on you, and I want to help empower you towards sustainable change and a fulfilling life.
