Lindsay has been in clinical practice since 2013 and has been working as a mentor/ helping professional for over 20 years. Mx. Omeirs is dedicated to helping others improve their lives through Evidence Based Practices and Empirically Supported Treatment Modalities. As a queer, neurodivergent, Chicana, single-parent, she understands the importance of considering biases in clinical practice. This includes, (but is definitely NOT limited to) examining the role of colonized, patriarchal, religious, and consumerist beliefs that pervade modern wellness culture. While skilled in the traditional models of clinical support, she understands that there is more to change than just treatment manuals and analysis. There is the immeasurable importance of honoring the infinite element of humans and our interconnectedness with all living things, which sometimes requires non-traditional perspectives.
