I’m Lindsay Abshier, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) with a passion for helping others find their path to healing and self-discovery. I am originally from Monroe, LA and I have lived in Raleigh, NC since 2019. In 2013, I received my undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech University – Go Dawgs! – where I studied Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Family Science. I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2018, and have practiced as a therapist for over six years now. When I am not meeting with clients, I love watching sports games, taking my cat, Hamilton aka Hammy, on a hike – yes! He hikes with me!, creating watercolors of traditional Louisiana scenes and spending time with friends at local events in the Triangle. My expertise includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, psychosis, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, life transitions, marital discord and family conflict.
