Meet Linda, a seasoned and compassionate licensed therapist with over two decades of experience. Since 1997, she has been dedicated to helping individuals overcome challenges and find healing. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Art from Cleveland State University, Linda's passion for understanding the human mind and creative expression became evident early on. Linda's journey into the field of counseling started in 1991 when she joined the Department of Veterans Affairs at a Veterans' Outreach Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Here, she played a vital role in assisting over 1500 veterans returning from the Persian Gulf War. Linda's empathetic nature and genuine interest in their well-being led her to conduct presentations and interviews, fostering peer support groups and providing counseling for Vietnam Veterans. In pursuit of deeper knowledge and expertise, Linda pursued a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work at Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 1994. She then joined the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Brecksville, Ohio, where she worked as a therapist specializing in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of those who served our country remained unwavering. In 1999, Linda's journey led her to Texas, where she continued her mission of helping veterans at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bonham. Her dedication and clinical skills soon led her to become a respected Team Leader within the organization. However, Linda's passion for helping people extended beyond her work with veterans. In 2004, she made the transition to full-time private practice, allowing her to focus on a broader range of clients. Specializing in trauma, depression, other mood disorders, ADHD, and working with teens facing behavioral challenges, Linda has positively impacted numerous lives through her therapeutic expertise. Recognizing the importance of continuous learning and staying up-to-date with advancements in her field, in 2020, Linda completed a Master's Certificate program in Dyslexia and Language Based Learning Disorders from SNHU. This additional knowledge further empowers her to assist clients with specific learning challenges, offering comprehensive support. Linda's warm and welcoming approach creates a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and experiences openly. Her dedication to helping couples strengthen their relationships also shines through in her work. If you're seeking a caring and experienced therapist to guide you through life's challenges, Linda is the professional you can trust. Her preferred hours of work on Tuesday through Thursday at 9 am and Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm ensure that she's available to accommodate your schedule and provide the support you need.
