My area of special interest and experience in counseling is working with individuals who have experienced traumatic events, as well as individuals suffering from adjustment disorders, mood disorders, substance abuse, obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality disorders, anxiety and panic disorder, as well as relational and family counseling. I have completed a masters level counselor at Reformed Theological Seminary in 2000, and have worked in the field of counseling for the past 23 years in Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. My experience has included Hospice, inpatient adult psychiatric and substance abuse treatment, as well as outpatient treatment in both community mental health and in private practice. I also have over ten years of experience in supervision of counseling interns in order to prepare them for work in the field of counseling. I adhere to the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics, and the American Psychological Association (APA) Code of Ethics. My state licenses are currently retired.
