Introduction

Life challenges can be caused by many things - unexpected transitions, struggles at work or school, relationships, and past trauma – and can often stir paralyzing emotions like depression, anxiety, confusion, and stress. I use cognitive behavioral and trauma-informed approaches to help adolescent girls and adults of all ages find solutions and enjoy life again. Sub-specialties include parenting issues, sexual/physical abuse, and Christian counseling for those interested in faith-based therapy. Clients tell me that they often feel relief of distress after just one session. In 2021, I received my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and became a state-rostered specialist in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My clinical training involved counseling children, teens and families who have undergone trauma, and I have years of experience working with adults of all ages in pastoral and religious settings. I take Cigna and Aetna insurances for both in-person and telehealth therapy through Headway.
