Leslie is a seasoned mental health professional with over 6 years of experience in community-based mental health agencies across Tampa and St. Petersburg, specializing in services for emotionally disturbed youth, adults, and targeted homeless populations. A graduate of National Louis University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and holding a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida in Psychology, Leslie's journey is deeply rooted in her West African heritage and her experience as a first-generation American. As a child of immigrant parents, Leslie's West African heritage has given her unique insights into the lack of culturally competent mental health services for BIPOC communities. This awareness has fueled her dedication to becoming a welcoming and competent mental health provider for those who have felt ignored or marginalized. Leslie specializes in minority mental health, life transitions, restoring relationships, anxiety relief, and depression reduction. Her mission is to bridge the gap in mental health care and provide inclusive and affirming support to individuals from all backgrounds, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
