I work with individuals, couples, and families who want to create growth and change in their lives but instead find themselves "stuck." Being stuck may lead to feeling disconnected from both self and others, feeling anxious or depressed, and/or engaging in unproductive behaviors. Our past experiences and/or our current demands or environments may overwhelm our resources. Our lives become problem-saturated stories with limited options. By working collaboratively in psychotherapy, we can re-author our restricted story into one of new possibilities. My approach has an emphasis on present concerns while understanding how they are informed by family and attachment history, somatic experiences and cultural histories. I have advanced training in family therapy, couple therapy, play therapy, and EMDR. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) in Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing model.
