Introduction

I have advanced training and expertise in the treatment of traumatic stress and the needs of LGBTQIA+ adults. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist. Beyond EMDR therapy, I take an eclectic approach that incorporates various modalities, as needed, to most effectively address each person's unique needs and preferences. Interventions informed by Internal Family Systems/"Parts Work," CBT, Mindfulness, expressive arts therapies, and ACT are often used to support my clients with accomplishing their goals. As a therapist, my approach is informed by prior work, life, and educational experiences within child welfare and adoption, immigrant communities, TGNB health, and community-based care for low-income, uninsured, and under-insured women. I operate from an inclusive, affirming perspective that acknowledges the impact of oppressive forces and the adverse health outcomes that disproportionately affect people within marginalized communities.
