As humans, we are designed for connection, belonging, and resiliency. Exploration of past experiences can often be helpful in gaining insight into ways we have strived to get these innate needs met and survive in the world. I strive to walk alongside you, cultivating a sense of feeling seen and understood, and collaborating with you to draw upon the wisdom and natural healing process of the body. I aim to foster an environment of warmth, exploration, and growth that values mind, body, and spiritual wellbeing. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help; therefore, my priority is to build a therapeutic environment of trust and collaboration. As a licensed psychologist, I have education, training, and clinical experience developed from various settings in both Minnesota and the Chicagoland area since 2012. I have specialized training in substance use and addiction, particularly using the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through the Yoga Alliance and a certified facilitator of Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY-F), an evidence-based intervention for complex trauma. I value utilizing an integrative and holistic healing approach, which includes drawing upon my training in Polyvagal Theory, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Furthermore, I have previous training in neuropsychological testing, which has given me tools for diagnosing and understanding neurodiverse individuals. I also have previous clinical experience with individuals from Christian faith backgrounds. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, being surrounded by nature, eating Indian and Mediterranean food, and having coffee with a friend. As a former marathon runner, I also enjoy being active and practicing yoga.
