Introduction

I am a clinical social worker licensed in Massachusetts with over 20 years of experience helping people improve their mental health and wellbeing. I served as an Army Mental Health Specialist from 2001 to 2009, helping service members and their families in the US and Iraq. I then worked for eight years as a Mental Health Intensive Case Manager with the Veterans Affairs Healthcare systems in Massachusetts and Hawaii. For four years I was a responder on the Veterans and Military Crisis Line before moving to private practice. Through these experiences, I have gained a strong understanding of many mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family problems, career challenges, and trauma. I have a deep empathy for folks from all walks of life and believe in the power of setting goals and finding solutions in therapy. My style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion and I also have a sense of humor. Although your life challenges are unique, there is truly nothing new under the sun and you are not alone. If you are ready to work together, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
