I’m Leandra (she/her) and I feel honored to be considered to support you on this journey. As an holistic therapist, I weave art therapy, somatic, and mindfulness approaches (like Hakomi) with evidence-based therapies (CBT & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to empower holistic healing of mind, body, and spirit. I value bringing respect, curiosity and kindness to therapy. I guide my clients to come to know and accept themselves more fully, to navigate tough situations and painful feelings with greater ease, to clarify core values, and connect to their innate wisdom. I also strive to imbue sessions with warmth and acceptance, so clients feel safe to explore, accept, and reclaim all parts of themselves. In our work together, you may come to treat yourself with more compassion, to make meaning from difficult experiences, to shift limiting beliefs to be affirming, to tend to your needs unapologetically, and to revel in your many strengths. Past clients have described me as calm and encouraging and my style is conversational, engaging and collaborative. My approach is informed by how culture, social contexts, and embedded systems impact people's lived experiences and awareness how oppression impacts emotional health. I believe healing can be an empowering, affirming and at times, even joyful, process of transformation, that our struggles can be a source of power, and that we all immensely capable of healing ourselves and living deeply satisfying lives. Though each session is tailored to the individual needs of each person, our time together may weave in conversation about what's important to you, restorative somatic practices to support the nervous system, expressive arts to explore needs and uncover insights, and mindfulness to help you strengthen presence. I know finding the right therapist can be daunting, and celebrate your efforts to take care of yourself.
