Life can feel overwhelming—it helps to have someone to process with. Someone who knows how to listen without agenda, without bias, and without judgement. It might be a pervasive feeling of sadness, anxiety, anger or overwhelm; or overcoming painful memories from that past that still feel activating in the present. Maybe it’s due to a life transition, a bout with depression or anxiety, a need to process through dysfunctional family dynamics, or traumatic experiences—together we can work through the things that are keeping you stuck so you can create a life that feels authentic and beautiful. My style of practice is grounded in identifying subconscious processes that guide our behavior, with a goal of bringing them to consciousness in order to gain understanding or implement change. In therapy, it means we’ll pay special attention tot he stuff that’s hard to see. The deeper stuff. The stuff that sometimes metaphorically “drives the car.” Through this process, you’ll come to a new kind of knowing. The knowing that comes from seeing the deepest parts of yourself. I am certified in EMDR to identify and target experiences that keep us stuck in the past. MEET LEAH Hi! Who am I? I’m a lot of things (therapist, gardener, retired florist, sunshine enthusiast) but most importantly, (as Irvin Yalom puts it) I’m a fellow traveler on the path. I’m a real, human person who is in a constant state of learning, growth, and transformation. I am committed to doing my own inner work, and supporting others in doing theirs. I view myself as a companion and guide for those wanting to take the journey inwards. I believe in the healing power of authentic connection, deep listening, and honest reflection. Our work together will create space for vulnerable moments, profound realizations, uninhibited emotions, and most likely- periodic belly laughs.
