I provide compassionate in-person & telehealth psychotherapy for adolescents aged 10-22, specializing in anxiety, depression, and gender and sexuality development. My work supports self-esteem, emotional awareness, stress management, healthy friendships, life transitions, and identity exploration. I have extensive experience with international students and families, including working with interpreters. For LGBTQ+ adolescents, I offer a safe and affirming space to explore and solidify their identities. I address challenges such as discrimination, identity exploration, and family and community acceptance. I collaborate with schools and other providers to ensure my client’s environments support their chosen identities. My practice integrates individual and family therapy, working closely with families, schools, pediatricians, and other networks to create a comprehensive web of care. So often, society approaches children with challenges as problems. But we all face challenges. What some of us lack is access to the skills, strategies, and understanding of how to live with them and even overcome them. My approach draws heavily from Narrative Therapy, these techniques help to create a gap between individual identity and the struggles the client faces. By widening this gap, a teen can explore their challenges without feeling guilty, blaming themselves, or letting their struggles become their identity. Through my work, clients will learn to rewrite their personal narratives, leading to a more fulfilling and resilient life. Virtual therapy offers teens and families the flexibility and comfort of accessing high-quality mental health support in a preferred location, on their schedules.
