My name is Laurie Troumbly, MS, LPCC and I have been working in the mental health field since 2002 in various positions including direct care staff, ARMHS, Case Management, Substance Use/Treatment Facility Therapist, and Private Practice. Born and raised on Leech Lake Reservation, I am a direct decedent of White Earth Reservation. My family moved to the Grand Rapids area where I graduated from Greenway High School. After high school, I attended college locally at Itasca Community College where my interest in Psychology, human behavior and understanding the brain and behaviors began. From there, I went on to complete both my undergraduate and graduate degrees both at Bemidji State University. I have worked for a local non-profit mental health agency for 18+ years and in 2019 began a new journey of Private Practice and have been serving our community in this manner. My niche and area of expertise include working with women, mothers, and teenagers.
