I greatly look forward to helping you find your balance! Ed King, LCSW Since graduating with my Master of Social Work Degree in 1996, I have worked in a variety of settings from Skilled Nursing Homes to Juvenile Detention Centers. I was initially trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and also spent time working with a Psychoanalyst in Baltimore, Maryland. I now believe that Trauma is a major factor in Mental Health Treatment. Trauma (and the resulting emotional/psychological impacts it can have) is the main issue for most of the people seeking treatment, even if the person does not realize that Trauma is the cause of their symptoms. The good news is that with therapy, we can very often resolve trauma and alleviate the impact it has on people.
