My approach is relational and person-centered, meeting each individual where they are to listen, connect, and guide while helping you overcome challenges and reach your goals. I provide a safe, caring, non-judgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. Together we will work to develop positive, healthy relationships with self and others and feel satisfied in your life. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker (CSW) and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). I earned my Master of Social Work at the University of South Dakota and B.S. in Psychology at South Dakota State University. I have completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and specialized training for Certified Clinical Trauma Professionals (CCTP-I). Other training includes crisis, suicide, and self-harm support and interventions with children, adolescents, and adults; social work with Native American populations; behavior management, attachment, and trauma work with children and caregivers. LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive and affirming. I have more than six years experience in social services and non-profits working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and schools. My experience includes work as a non-profit program director, as well as providing social work, case management, and psychotherapy in schools, homes, foster care placements, and outpatient settings. Most recently I provided mental health counseling at a community health center to children, teens, and adults with co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency issues.
