Lauren Cunkelman
Introduction
Lauren Cunkelman is a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor (PA) and National Certified Counselor. Lauren had the opportunity to complete practicum placements in residential and inpatient treatment facilities. These served a variety of populations including developmental disabilities, behavioral concerns, adolescents, adults and substance use disorders. She completed her clinical internship was employed in various roles at The Center for Autism in Philadelphia, PA. Throughout her career, Lauren has gained skills in both group and individual play-based and behavioral interventions with children on the spectrum, family therapy, managed care, case management, and clinical supervision. She has additional training in providing clinical supervision and supports students during their graduate coursework completion. Lauren’s clinical work is person-centered. She allows the client to guide the session and is holistic in her treatment. Development, attachment, and finding the mind-body-emotional connection are hallmark to her approach. She utilizes framework from both dance/movement therapy and counseling to inform her work with her clients.
