Introduction

Hi, I’m Lauren, and I specialize in complex trauma – the kind that does not just come from one event, but from years of not being safe, not being seen, or having to shrink yourself to survive. This may show up as anxiety that won’t quit, numbness, people-pleasing, explosive anger, shame that lives in your bones, or a deep sense of not knowing who you are. Maybe you’re exhausted from trying to keep it all together, and you are wondering why the same patterns keep pulling you back in. If that sounds familiar, I want you to know you are not broken – you adapted. You did exactly what you needed to do to survive, and now it is just not working for you anymore. My work is deeply rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that your body and nervous system have done exactly what they needed to do to keep you moving forward. I integrate holistic ways of healing, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-sensitive yoga, and somatic therapies to help clients reconnect with themselves. My approach is body-based, because trauma does not just live in your mind – it lives in your muscles, your gut, your breath, and your sleep (or lack thereof). Talking helps, but your body needs a chance to tell the truth, too. Healing from complex trauma is not easy, but it is possible. In our work together, I will not ask you to retell your trauma unless you want to. I won’t rush you, but I won’t sugarcoat things either. Healing does not mean you are becoming a different person, it means coming home to yourself – your strength, your boundaries, your voice, and the parts of you that were buried along the way. If you’ve been told you’re “too much,” “not enough,” or “too sensitive” – this space is for you. You’ve done what you needed to do to survive – now it’s time to live. When you are ready to begin your healing journey, I’ll be here.
