Lauren has over 4 years of experience in eating disorder treatment, trauma work, and behavioral health. Her main areas of expertise include anxiety, relationship stress, body image concerns, eating disorder recovery, healing relationships to food and body, navigating chronic illness, and processing past and present trauma. Lauren also has experience with and is passionate about working with other mental health providers who are on their own therapy journey. Lauren uses a person-centered and eclectic approach in therapy, tailoring the modalities she pulls from to create a unique fit for each individual’s needs. She pulls from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment theory, and polyvagal & somatic theories. Lauren believes therapy is a collaborative process and that each client is the expert on themselves. She will gently challenge and encourage her clients in paths of new growth and exploration (with a little humor where appropriate).
