Introduction

Welcome to Constellation Counseling! My name is Laurel Eby, as an integrative therapist I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT), LifeSpan Integration, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the individual therapy part of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but I do not currently prefer one specific counseling theory. I feel that each patient is unique and therefore may respond best to a variety of styles. I believe in this journey as a collaborative approach and will work with you to find what we feel is the best fit for you. I plan on supporting you down your path of self-authorship where you will work to trust yourself, reflect to learn from experiences, learn coping skills to manage your current stressors, and become the author of your own life. I currently work with individuals (13+) for a wide range of concerns. My specialties can be found below though I have extensive experience working with a variety of additional issues. Additionally I specialize in working with college students; before becoming a therapist I worked with college students in a crisis response role for over 7 years and I feel it is important for there to be an affordable and local support system outside of the higher education world. CREDENTIALS Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Washington State License #LH60889526 Licensed Professional Counselor, Oregon State License #C5756 M.Ed. in Human Services & Counseling from DePaul University, 2009 B.A. in Sociology from DePaul University I spent 7.5 years doing crisis response in a college environment and then worked for a few years at a community mental health agency with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples before transitioning into Private Practice. ABOUT ME I consider myself a nomad after living around the nation everywhere from Arizona, Massachusetts, Kansas, Italy, Illinois, Colorado, and California. I discovered the beauty of Washington over 8 years ago and definitely feel that the Pacific Northwest is my home. I’m an avid downhill skier, kayaker, and trail runner who can generally be found hanging out with my awesome pup, cooking delicious food with my fiancé, and drinking a cup of coffee. SESSIONS I currently am doing either telehealth or walking sessions and am unsure when I will be meeting clients in-person in my office. CONTACTING ME Please contact me if you have any questions! If you are requesting an appointment I would ask that you also text or email me letting me know 1) what your insurance plan is or payment plan will be as well as 2) what you would like to focus on in sessions so that I can make sure that I'm a good fit for you. Texting or email is the fastest way to get ahold of me, my phone goes directly to voicemail since I am often in a session. Most clients text me so this is my preferred form of communication and I use a HIPAA compliant app (Spruce) on my end so the conversation is private. SUPERVISION I am an approved supervisor for the state of Washington and am currently accepting Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates (LMHCAs) for supervision. I provide a bundle of services for LMHCAs that includes fulfilling the required supervision hours, billing services, LMHCA insurance contracts under my contract, and coaching on setting up your own private practice. Please contact me for more details. Washington Mental Health Counselor Association Supervisor Listing: https://wmhca.org/clinical-supervisors/?filter=1&ID=2283&ulist=2&list=2
