I have been working with children and families in the behavioral health field for over 20 years. I am a trained Adoption and trauma therapist as well as an Adoptive mom myself. I truly understand the daily struggles that life hands you when you or someone you love has experienced trauma or is experiencing high levels of stress. When you come into therapy we will work together on the goals that you have for yourself in order for you to lead a happy and healthy life! In therapy I use a strength based and client based approach. I also am trained in an evidence based program called FOCUS (families Overcoming Under Stress), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma therapy and I am an Adoption competent therapist. In therapy we will work together to create healthy habits, better communication skills, an understanding of your own triggers and how to cope with them in a healthy way, you will learn problem solving skills as well as emotion regulations and goal setting skills so that you can continue on your own path to wellness and joy!
