Hi! I'm glad you are here! My strength is in relationship building in order to create a trusting and safe place for healing. I have been working as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2014. I genuinely love people and enjoy working with adults who need support, who have unresolved trauma and who need healing. Supporting adults who are caregivers for others, such as aging parents or family members is an area where I have much experience. Walking with people who are experiencing grief from losses of many kinds is also an area of strength. I utilize a positive, strength-based, humanistic, non-judgmental approach in my work. I also enjoy working with children, pre-teens, teens, and adults. I began my love of working with children in 2004 while working as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher. Subsequently I worked as a classroom teacher and later had the joy of being the mental health professional on many school campuses. I am well versed in the school system and challenges that occur for children and parents in this setting. Parent Coaching is one of my strengths and collaborating with parents to support their children and illicit positive change for their kiddos at home and school is a calling for me. I utilize play therapy, activity therapy, bibliotherapy, and art therapy in working with children. I value the therapeutic relationship as a sacred space where I offer support and acceptance as you work through any issues you choose to tackle. You decide the pace of your journey and I will walk with you at that pace. Things can get better. I have seen it.
