When I picture my ideal client, I think of you. You might feel stuck, anxious, unhappy, numb, or disconnected. Maybe you feel scared or ashamed of something that has happened to you or something you’ve never discussed with anyone. Perhaps you have thought about therapy before, or someone recommended it, but you never pursued it. But now, you show up and that is the first step. You are beginning to be honest with and trust yourself, me, and this process. You want to feel better, more connected, and begin to live your life again. I have good news: With a little courage, a willingness to try new things, and a little support, you can! I approach the first session with an open, nonjudgmental ear and heart. My goal is to help you feel heard and understood. I have a wide range of experience across many contexts. I’ve learned all humans struggle with various forms of suffering and trauma, and I have a wide range of tools I can use to help you through them. I know how easy it is to feel alone with your problems and how hard it is to ask for help. I challenge you to show up and see what happens. You just might feel relieved to have found a confidential space to share your burdens with someone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for consultation and to have any concerns addressed before starting treatment.
