Via empathetic listening, compassion, and some (attempted!) humor too, I encourage clients to share their joys and their struggles, as well as the parts we may keep hidden from others due to being shamed, ignored, or stigmatized. My goal is to support clients in developing a better understanding of the various circumstances, behaviors, and patterns that affect their daily lives, wellbeing, and overall happiness. I'm here to help support for the parts that don't feel good, generate awareness for growth/change, and a space for you to feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My work is rooted in trauma-informed, antiracist, feminist, person centered and strengths-based principles, and I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, and IFS modalities regularly in sessions. I also have a 12 year old therapy dog, Jemma, who joins me in sessions and who loves to say hi to clients before going back to sleep. If you are thinking about starting therapy, please send me a note and we can hopefully schedule an intake session for you to determine if I feel like a therapeutic fit!
