Introduction

Hello! I'm Laura and I have lived and worked in the Rogue Valley for over 25 years. My husband and I unschooled and raised our three children here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I am a white, cisgender female and use she/her pronouns. I did not grow up with therapy in my life, but I certainly wish I had. My parents divorced and remarried other partners when I was quite young. With that came a very large, very mixed up family full of financial disparity and cultural differences. I have family members who identify as Neurodiverse, Queer and Trans, and those who have autoimmune disorders. With all those aspects of my family I didn’t venture into therapy until experiencing depression after the birth of one of my children. I then found out what an amazing tool it is. Since then I have used therapy many times for many different reasons and have found it insightful, giving me a deeper understanding of the phases of life most of us travel through at some point. The foundation of my work is grounded in trauma informed care and internal family systems. I also utilize narrative and solution based therapy, and reminiscent life review. I firmly believe that we all should have access to counseling from birth till death. We all need someone to talk to, to be seen and heard, and to have someone who can help us to answer the questions we have, and the ones we don’t know we have, so that we can navigate through this thing called life.
