Introduction

I graduated with a Masters in School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Higher Education Counseling from East Carolina University (ECU) in 2015. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I have a National Board Certification (www.nbcc.org) and International Biofeedback Certification from the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (www.bcia.org). Earning National Board Certification demonstrates that I have voluntarily met high national standards for the practice of counseling. The biofeedback certification allows me to work with clients using a psychophysiological approach to enhance the counseling services I provide. I have recently added EMDR training as one of the ways in which I help clients heal. If you are interested in learning more about EMDR, visit this website: https://www.emdria.org/ I consider myself to be a LGBTQIA+ affirming and culturally responsive counselor that provides a safe space to explore personal goals. I believe that we are made of many parts and that our overall wellness cannot exist without mental clarity. I value therapy for my own personal self, and as a result, I value and cherish the opportunity to be a part of someone else's therapy journey. I provide a trauma informed and culturally sensitive space where I utilize my trainings in EMDR, biofeedback and psychotherapy with children, teens, and adults. My areas of expertise include trauma/PTSD/Complex PTSD, anxiety, general life stress/changes, and stress management.
