I work together with my clients to develop curiosity and compassion for themselves and others; acceptance of feelings, healthy boundaries, and more adaptive and satisfying ways of being in the world. My approach to therapy prioritizes developing an understanding of who you are as an individual, and focusing on your unique strengths and abilities. Past and present experiences, relationships, genetics, biology inequalities, and world events all impact the way you think and feel but therapy offers you a unique space to reflect and find new paths forward. My clients describe my style as warm and direct. I have worked as a therapist for 14 years, and am well trained in various therapy styles. Whether you are interested in learning coping strategies for symptoms, or need to work on a complex relationship with yourself and/or others, I can help. I have specialized training in trauma work, mood disorders, abuse, neglect, couple's counseling, play therapy and major life transitions. I frequently work in various creative communities in Chicago, supporting artists, writers, and musicians in their work.
