Whether you are 5, 18, 35 or 85, there are sometimes obstacles that get in the way to living our lives to the fullest. My job is to help you change patterns of thinking and behavior and that are preventing you from living according to your full potential. I have twenty years of clinical experience working with individuals and families who are dealing with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, sexual abuse and substance abuse. I draw upon my extensive clinical experience and incorporate neurobiology and a person-centered cognitive approach; recognizing the uniqueness of each individual who enters the room. I receive my clinical inspiration from a variety of sources, including Carl Jung, Gabor Mate, Susan Johnson, Viktor Frankl, and Daniel Siegel. I especially work well with creative people who are struggling with anxiety and/or depression, feeling stuck or seeking to find balance in their personal or professional lives by renewing their commitment to authenticity, awe, power, caring, creativity and engagement. I approach my work with compassion, energy and caring. My practice incorporates the philosophy of mindfulness and present-time awareness. I utilize a cognitive and existential approach that serves to empower and assist clients to take responsibility for shaping, molding and creating their lives.
