Lanee’ Sambou is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor specializing in working with clients living with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Lanee’ holds particular clinical interest in working with clients living with mood and trauma related issues, and has experience working with individuals and couples across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults, and the older adult population. Lanee is clinically trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and has experience integrating CBT, Gottman Therapy, and other third wave therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other mindfulness-based approaches into her sessions. Her research interests involve the use of compassionate focused CBT and ACT toward a wide range of challenges to help clients develop values driven goals to improve self-worth, interpersonal relationship skills, and the ability to utilize effective coping skills to manage uncomfortable thoughts and emotions. Lanee’ operates on the premise that we are whole beings, built with an innate capacity to reach our full potential and therefore, she uses strengths-based models to help clients identify and restore healthy relationships with themselves and others. In addition to supporting clients with anxiety, depression, and trauma related issues, she has additional experience supporting clients with grief, behavioral and anger management issues, ADHD, substance use, and life transitions. Lanee’ earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Counseling. She also holds a Bachelor of Biological Science with a concentration in Pre-Med studies from Georgia State University. She is currently under supervision of Dr. Lynell Howard, LPC, CPCS, NCC, CEO to attain full licensure as a Professional Counselor. In her leisure time, Lanee ’enjoys quality time with family and friends, trying new recipes, reading, drawing, writing poetry, singing, and she is also an outdoor enthusiast.
