I am a licensed independent mental health practitioner and licensed professional counselor. I graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology through Bellevue University in June 2015. I completed a master’s in clinical counseling through Bellevue University in November 2018 and have worked as a therapist since January 2019 in the Grand Island area. I have interest in multiple areas, including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, trauma, attachment, grief/loss, and spirituality/existential concerns. Two primary areas of specialty are working with and advocating for/with the LGBTQIA2S+ community as well as neurodivergence. I am also keenly aware of the intersectionality of queer/trans and neurodivergent experiences. I am a joyful member of the LGBTQ+ community and prefer they/them pronouns. I am at present also an RYT-200 certified yoga teacher and have training and certification in yoga nidra (“yogic sleep”; a deep holistic relaxation process combining meditative and mindfulness elements ). My therapeutic approach includes mindfulness, somatic-based, trauma-informed psychotherapy practices including somatic awareness, parts work, and polyvagal theory, among others. I also have experience with DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and have training in EMDR. Additionally, I am receiving training for working with religious and spiritual abuse and trauma. As a therapist, one of my deepest desires is to be able to be fully present with people, meeting them where they are, mirroring their innate state of belovedness. I am honored to share in people’s healing journeys, as they (re)discover the healer within.
