My name is LaKeith Sutton. I am a PROUD DC NATIVE and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. I have been practicing therapy for four years and during that time, I have worked with children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals. I have helped clients deal with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and other mental health barriers. I take an integrated approach to therapy because I believe therapy is not one size fits all and clients need different approaches to therapy. Despite having an integrated approach I am trained in some evidence-based practices, specifically in Trauma Systems Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia where I received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Welfare and African American/African Studies in 2011. For graduate school, I attended Temple University and earned a Master of Social Work degree with a Clinical Concentration specializing in children, youth, and families in 2014. I am currently a student at the University of Kentucky earning a Doctorate of Social Work.
