I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Upstate New York with over 5 years of experience working as a counselor to family units, as well as children and adults individually. I have worked with clients expressing a wide range of concerns including lack of self-esteem, difficult family dynamics, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Spectrum disorders, Bi-polar disorders, and Personality disorders. My counseling style is compassionate and interactive. I believe in treating every person with respect and compassion with consideration for their individual perspectives, beliefs, and choices. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existentialism, and Motivational Interviewing. Treatment plans will be uniquely tailored based on the clients' needs and personal goals. I am a military veteran (2002-2006) with knowledge and experience regarding the stigma of mental health, and pursuit of any medical treatment sometimes. Over the past four years, I've worked with active military members, and continue to see much of the same culture through their experiences. In just a few words, I would describe myself as goal-oriented, realistic, empathetic, and playful. I am a spiritual person without a specific religious practice. I am growing in my own life and profession each and every day. I believe I practice what I preach. I already respect the courage you have shown to come and check out this virtual platform for therapy. I look forward to providing whatever support and help I can to help you make the most of your life and sense of self. I look forward to working with you!
