Hi. I’m Kristy. I am a clinical social worker who provides individual therapy services for young and slightly more mature adults. This is my 20th year working in the social service and mental health field. My practice is 100% telehealth and has always been – even in “the before times.” I received my undergraduate in American Cultural Studies, Gender and Queer Studies from Western Washington University and my master’s in social work from Portland State University. I have worked in a variety of settings, including both long and short term inpatient psychiatric settings, community-based non-profits, community health outreach, overnight and teen shelters, state social services, primary care clinics and more recently, hospital management. First and foremost, my therapeutic approach is non-judgmental with the goal of building a trusting relationship. I strive to create a safe and positive space that promotes and nurtures personal growth, self-exploration, and healing. In our collaborative work, I use cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment and other therapeutic models so we can learn about you, enhance your personal strengths and achieve your personal goals.
