We all need a safe place to talk openly about life's challenges. I create a safe counseling haven for all. I support you through listening, empathy, and seeing your strengths as you navigate challenges, concerns, worries, and mental health wellness. I specialize in stress, life transitions, relationship issues, college and career decisions, grief, parenting concerns, gender identity, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideations, and other emotional and behavioral issues. I work with individuals, couples, and the LGBTQ+ community. I am non-judgmental, positive, and collaborative in my approach. I believe that all of us have strengths and ideas, but sometime we need help through hard times. I believe that counseling leads to self-reflection, growth, and healing. I work with you to determine your therapy goals and use techniques and strategies to help reach your goals. I may use solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered, narrative, and mindfulness-based counseling practices. I also use strengths-based approach to counseling that focuses on your abilities, goals, motivations, and resiliency. I don’t pretend to have all the answers to life's challenges, but I will collaborate with you to provide the support and counseling you seek. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a unique approach to psychotherapy. ART is unique because it guides the you to replace the negative images in the mind that cause the symptoms of distress with positive images of the your choosing. And this is done quickly, most often within 1-5 sessions! Once the negative images have been replaced by positive ones, the triggers will be gone. ART can be used for anxiety, depression, family issues, fears, OCD, PTSD, grief, pain management, and stress.
