Introduction

My name is Kristy Barrette (she/her). I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist on the beautiful California Central Coast. I welcome you to my practice. As a clinician, I believe that you have the ability to grow, learn, and better understand yourself and your loved ones. With this understanding, you can create meaningful changes that align with your needs and values. My role is to walk alongside you to help pave the way to more meaningful connections, more effective communication, healthier boundaries, increased safety, and an overall greater sense of well-being. I feel honored to join you as you embark on this journey. FOCUS OF MY PRACTICE My practice focuses on supporting adolescents, young adults, adults, and families dealing with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, gender identity/exploration, trauma processing, life transitions, relationship issues, stress management, parent-child conflict, parenting support, and other mental health needs. I have a passion for helping individuals and families identify and change harmful generational patterns, to heal wounds that often prevent wellness. In my practice, all are welcome. I strive to be affirming to all identities and areas of diversity, such as gender diversity, racial diversity, sexual diversity, ability, and neurodiversity. I enjoy working with LGBQIA+, Non-Binary, and Trans clients and their families, as well as individuals who may be exploring their multiple and intersecting identities. HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT I am currently accepting new clients. I offer 15 minute consult calls to meeting and see if we would like to work together.
