Kristina Wilson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She graduated with honors from Ashland Theological Seminary, receiving her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience working with a diverse population, treating individuals with a variety of mental health concerns. Her specialties include counseling adults for depression, anxiety, grief/loss, sexual abuse recovery, marital/premarital counseling, Trauma/PTSD, and substance abuse. She is especially passionate about walking along side individuals who have experienced trauma and helping them overcome the obstacles that have held them back in life. Kristina knows that working through life’s hardships, such as past traumas, marital difficulties, and depression, can be especially trying. She uses a Person-Centered approach in her therapy and provides a safe place for her client’s to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Her warmth, compassion, and empathy create a comforting environment. As a seminary graduate, Kristina acknowledges that spirituality plays a significant role in our overall mental health and well being. At the client’s request, she can address faith-based concerns and issues with the use of scripture and prayer in addition to traditional counseling techniques.
