As a therapist I encourage different forms of expression to help create a thriving therapeutic relationship where clients can speak whatever language their heart prefers. Whether I am working with adults or children, I often find that using alternative methods in addition to traditional talk therapy can help us build a trusting connection, allow for emotional expression, give insight into complex and confusing feelings, and make space for our own inner wisdom to emerge. Within a playful environment, we can pretend, draw, write, make music, or use the sandtray, sometimes all within one session! ...Because sometimes life is just too big for words. I also have unique experience collaborating and working with various school systems, including preschools, and working with families facing cancer.
