Hi there! I’m Kristina Anne Platt, a Master’s student at NC State in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. My eclectic background led me to mental health counseling, including a foundation in biology, early childhood through adolescent development, family and home dynamics, and education. These experiences and my own mental health journey led to my becoming a therapist and being the person I wish I had to support me when I was at my worst, doing better, and celebrating my moments of joy. I believe that the therapy process and its effectiveness hinges on the client-counselor relationship. My goal is to provide a safe space for clients to explore the obstacles, stressors, and unknowns they may face. Starting this journey can be uncomfortable, whether it’s your first time in therapy or starting with a new therapist. So, to make our time together as effective and supportive as possible, I encourage open lines of communication and ongoing feedback to help you feel in control of your mental health journey.
