My ideal patient is simply curious to see what a journey to their best self would look like. I will take it from there! Anxiety, seasonal depression, mood disorders, insomnia, nightmares, trauma, and medically complex patients are a few of my focus areas. I have a special appreciation for individuals with substance use disorders, their families, and recovery. I also provide Medication Assisted Treatment for an added layer of support. Additionally, the mental health of nurses, first responders, and healthcare workers is very important to me, having first-hand understanding of the unique challenges we face. I take a holistic approach to treatment. I believe in incorporating education, medication management, therapeutic modalities, and lifestyle modifications into my practice. I am not prescribing stimulant medication at this time, but can offer non-stimulant options to treat ADHD. I am on my own mental health journey, and I understand what it feels like to sit across from a provider and feel as if they're not listening to me. My goal is for you to leave feeling seen, heard, and empowered. I will meet you where you are at, not where I want you to be. We will come up with a treatment plan together, and you will not feel pressured. I believe the best results come from augmenting medication with therapy to address the root cause of your symptoms. I prescribe conservatively, and evaluate the continued need for medication as you progress along your mental health journey.
